2013 Dinner Dance

Another change of venue this year, with Martin Kelly arranging the main hall at Pilgrims School.  Pre-meal drinks were taken at The Wykeham Arms, and from there we moved on to Pilgrims for a excellent curry, followed by gateau and a fine selection of cheeses.

Speeches were plentiful throughout the evening, with the finale being the presentation of Napoleon from the balcony to this years Players Player of the Year.

2012 Dinner Dance

After many happy years at Toni's Stakehouse, their closure meant we had to come up with something different for 2012.  We opted for both a new venue and format.

The event started with a net at River Park Sports Centre, which was well attended.  Once we had all proved that last season was just a blip, and we were in fact pretty good at this cricket stuff, we moved on to the King Alfred pub.

Speeches took place throughout the evening, with the occasional interruption when food was brought out (usually accompanied by a member of staff shouting 'mushrooms').

Suitable trophies were handed to the following players:-

Players Player of the year - Daz Phillips
Batsman of the Year - Pete Thompson
Bowler of the Year - Daz Phillips
Fielder of the Year - Murali Deegutla (given on the night to second placed Jon Whale)

Champagne moment - Murali's second ball six / Murali's Dilscoop shot

Barrister of the Year - Mark Atherton

Most psychologically tortured innings - Phil Moulin

Present were :- Andy Day, Tony Wright, Jon, Pete H, Pete E, Simon, Toby, Will, Phil Moulin, Ed, Martin, Daz P, Daz B, Mark Ath, Rich, Scott, Pete T, and Mole,

Sadly unable to attend - AJ, Murali, Martin Smith.
